I have over 6 years experience working with Individuals, children, and Families. My experience enables me to offer effective psychological care. I treat a number of mental health disorders, and specialize in working with Children and Families who have experienced trauma.

My Treatment Focus

Emily K. Gray, Provisionally Licensed MFT

When working with adults, I  listen to my client's concerns and customize a treatment plan, based on my client's individual needs. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapeutic techniques to support my clients with gaining insight about the relationships between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I support my clients while providing a safe, nonjudgmental space.

When working with children, I implement a Systemic Approach by incorporating caregivers to ensure an increase in treatment success and crucial family support. I utilize Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Managing Adaptive Practices Interventions, and Child Parent Psychotherapy.  I enjoy working with teenagers and find it easy for them to connect with me.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger after traumatic events. I have completed extensive trainings in trauma therapy so I am better able to support you with overcoming these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Children and Families

Children interpret the world differently than adults, due to their stage of development. Often times, children do not have the language to make sense of the world around them and communicate feelings about changes in their environment. Through play therapy, children are able to process and understand their feelings about the world around them. Children have better success in therapy when the family participates and is willing to make changes to increase positive interactions between members. Therapy sessions are held with children and family members to enable an increase in support and positive communication.
